As MFA’s Senior Associate for Survey Research, Chris specializes in customizing research projects that enable MFA’s clients to both understand how people think, and to develop strategies that shape opinions and change behavior.
MFA’s high-quality research methodologies include telephone and Internet surveys, executive interviews, focus groups, in-person intercepts and mail surveys.
Chris has extensive experience providing high-quality customized market research to the health care and public-health industry. His clients include world class hospitals, insurers, membership organizations, not-for-profit organizations and others in the health care field. With this diversity of experience he brings a unique 360-degree perspective to his engagements.
Prior to joining Mary Fifield Associates, Chris was a vice president at Opinion Dynamics Corporation, where he directed a diverse range of quantitative and qualitative research projects. These projects included polling for ballot initiative campaigns; issue awareness and message testing studies for communications campaigns; alumni and prospective student studies for universities; donor/non-donor studies; membership studies for associations; and a range of other highly specific customized studies.
From 2006 to 2008 Chris directed a bi-weekly national poll for the FOX News Channel. This poll tracked a wide range of social and political issues and proved to be among the most accurate media polls in the nation during the 2008 election cycle. The final FOX News poll before the 2008 general election accurately predicted a 7-point margin of victory for Barack Obama.
Chris began his career at Kiley and Company, the national Democratic polling firm.
He received a master's degree from Columbia University, where his studies focused on statistical analysis, public opinion, and political science. He received a bachelor's degree in English from Colby College.
